Cynthia has worked in Katherint, Hospital for over 25 years as a nurse/midwife.
Cynthia has been volunteering in the Baptist Church, completing a two year Chaplaincy course to enable her to volunteer at the hospital and Aged Care when needed.
Cynthia has been involved in many voluntary activities including:
• Has run Ante Natal classes, womens' health and family planning
• Cooking meals for the sick
• Visiting many of the elderly, taking them to Doctors appointments, haircuts, coffee etc
• Volunteers once a week at the Katherine High School breakfast program
• Volunteers at the Katherine Crisis Centre sorting clothes
• Cynthia is involved a monthly Breakfast Group for ladies, last month making up to 200 birth packs for overseas women in third world countries.
• Cynthia is also involved in taking morning tea to all of the Ward Staff at Katherine Hospital and Aged Care Facilities, (Katherine Hostel, Rocky Ridge and Kalano Aged Care) to show the community's thanks for all they did extra during the Pandemic, when much was expected of them during the lockdown. As you can see by this, Cynthia is a hard-working, caring member of the Katherine Community
