Dr Daryl Manzie
Daryl was born in 1946 and has resided in the NT for more than 50 years. He is married to Maureen and together they have 3 children and 9 great grand children, all residing in the NT.
Daryl was a member of the NT Police for 15 years. In 1983, Daryl was elected to the NT Parliament as the Member for Sanderson and served as a Cabinet Minister for a period of 18 years during which time he held most positions, including 10 years as Attorney General. He retired in October, 2001.
Daryl then took to the air (not figuratively), presenting a talk back and current affairs program for Territory FM Radio 104.1 for 15 years, retiring in December of 2016.
Daryl's interests and concerns for the 'Territory' are evident in the number and wide range of Community Organisations he has been involved in, past and present.

• A Judge on Restaurants/Foods Gold Plate Awards on numerous occasions
• Awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters Honours Causa in 2010 by CDU
• Was made a Paul Harris Fellow by Darwin Rotary in 2015
Dr Daryl Manzie or 'Daz' as he is often referred to as, is an amazing figure in NT lore and never tires to be of assistance or provide information when requested.
He is a worthy recipient of our Seniors Of Excellence NT Award, 2021
