Raymond Peter Fauntleroy
Raymond was nominated as a Senior Of Excellence as an outstanding member of Rotary Club of Darwin, Rotary International and Rotary District 9550 which covers North Queensland, the Northern Territory and Timor-Leste.
Ray joined the Rotary Club of Darwin on lst September 1992 and has maintained his membership to the present day. His contribution during the 25 years of his membership has been nothing short of exceptional and he has brought to the club and hence to the community he represents, the same tireless but professional ethos he has applied to his position as a Senior Procurement Officer at Charles Darwin University.
Probably one of Ray's special principles in Rotary and in his personal life is his observance of Rotary's Four Way Test which is:-
• Is it the truth
• Is it fair to all concerned
• Will it bring goodwill and better friendships
• Will it be beneficial to all concerned
Rotary Clubs, through its members like Ray, contribute so much economically, culturally and socially to our community. For instance, the Rotary Chocolate Wheel at Royal Darwin Show has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that all goes back into the community through countless valuable Rotary projects.
Ray is currently on the Board of Kids Safe and making a remarkable contribution. Recognition of his incredible contributions through Rotary International, are the three Paul Harris Fellowships, one of the highest Awards, Rotary International bestows.
