Mrs Olga Radke OAM - Alice Springs
Olga has contributed much to the community of Alice Springs. For many years Olga was a volunteer researcher for the Strehlow Research Centre.
She has been a member of the Prisoners Aid and Rehabilitation Association of Alice Springs since 2003.
Olga has been a piano accompanist and organist for various churches and choirs including the Alice Springs Choral Society and Living Waters School choir for more than ten years and has also coordinated musical fundraising events for local charities. Olga has been involved in lobbying for the establishment of a group known as 'Relatives and Friends of People with Mental Illness' in Alice Springs.
As a current member of the Old Lutheran Church History and Archives Team, Olga gathers historical photos, memorabilia and information relating to the Alice Springs Mission Block, Hermansburg and beyond.
Olga was awarded the OAM in the Queens Birthday 2015 Honours.
Olga was nominated by the Chief Minister the Hon Adam Giles MLA.
While Olga could not be present with us today, the Chief Minister will present Olga with her Award in Alice Springs in the coming days.
