Romola Sebastion-Pillai - Wagaman
Romola has lived in Darwin for 39 years and is 70 years young.
During that time Romola has busied herself with many activities and pursuits:
• Darwin Film Society. In the early days of the Film Society, Romola was the Honorary Secretary for 8 years.
• The Cancer Council NT. Romola has been involved with this organisation for the past 35 years. For ten years now, she has been the Manager of Special Events coordinating Daffodil Day and Pink Ribbon Day.
• Romola was the Honorary Executive Officer of the Penguin Club, training women in public speaking and meeting procedures.
• For more than 8 years now, Romola has been President and Organiser of the RINCENA EIRANN Darwin Irish Dance School. The school boasts in excess of 60 students ranging in age from 4 years to 60+. The group perform at least 20 times a year for the Darwin Show Society, School Fetes, Harmony Day, the Multicultural Soiree and nursing homes to name a few.
• Romola always finds time to be there for her many friends in times of sickness and crisis. When there is a need, Romola is there to help, sympathise and support.
