Geraldine, or Gerry as she is better known, is an active member of the Palmerston Community and a member of the Palmerston and Litchfield Seniors Association. Geraldine also volunteers at the Red Cross in Palmerston.
She is also a member of the Palmerston 50+ Club that meet every Tuesday at the Gray Community Hall. She assists with providing an amazing home¬made morning tea which is a highlight for the 60 plus seniors who attend each week.
Each Tuesday, the 50+ Club members enjoy catching up, playing various board and card games and also take part in craft activities. It is a great social outing for many.
As a member of the Palmerston and Litchfield Seniors Association, Geraldine is involved in many aspects of fundraising and works hard to ensure that the seniors enjoy outings and that special occasions are acknowledged. Christmas is a special time for the seniors and she is part of the team that ensures that all seniors receive a gift when attending the Christmas function.
Geraldine assists at the Palmerston and Litchfield Seniors Association fortnightly gathering at Cazalys and works hard to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable morning. As part of the committee, she assists with organising guest speakers for the seniors and is always helpful to other members. She is a valued Red Cross Volunteer and spends time each week helping in a number of areas at the local Palmerston Red Cross 'Op Shop'. Geraldine is one of the many volunteers responsible for the ongoing running of this much needed community shop.
