Janette's enthusiasm to enhance the well-being of Palmerston Seniors is well recognized by all members of Palmerston Seniors.
As the Public Officer and Secretary of Palmerston 50+ Club she is capable of a lot of multitasking. Janette is responsible for the assessment of group needs, research, booking of events, planning outings and organizing guest speakers. On top of this, Janette is always available to support and organise fund raising and provide appropriate information for Palmerston Seniors.
Janette is also a member of the Palmerston and Litchfield Seniors Association Committee which involves planning and supporting their fund¬raising including fortnightly morning teas at Cazalys and BBQs at Bunnings.
Janette also volunteers every week at Red Cross Palmerston and at Gray Day Care Centre where she is much loved by the young children. She sometimes organises for the young children to sing songs to the seniors at the 50+ Club, which is always such a moving experience for all involved.
Janette also teaches card making at the 50+ Club providing many of the accessories and skills for others to make cards for their loved ones.
You will often see Janette's entries under many categories at the Royal Darwin Show as she is also a member of this group.
Janette is a very dedicated and generous senior volunteer.
