William John Hamilton - Milner
William John Hamilton (known by all as Jack) has lived in Darwin for over 30 years. Jack and his family were posted to Larrakeyah Barracks in 1985 while serving in the Royal Australian Army.
Jack has for many years supported local charities, schools and organisations.
Jack was Chairman of the NT Boy Scouts and was also a Board Member of Girl Guides NT and has assisted them by transporting equipment to the Teddy Bear's Picnic, camp sites, helping with tents, delivering ice etc and doing odd jobs around the Girl Guide halls.
Jack is President of NT Legacy which supports family members of deceased service men and women, a position he has held for 18 years. He is a member of the Darwin RSL and has managed Coral House which is a facility for homeless ex-service men.
Jack also supports the Australia Day Council, the Darwin Aviation Museum and the Darwin Military Museum.
Jack is proud to be called a Territorian and of helping and supporting these charities and organisations.
Jack's loyalty and dedication to these causes is warmly appreciated by all concerned.
