Diane Gronow
Nominated by Andrea H Adams
Seconded by Peter J Kent
Dianne Gronow has been an active and dedicated volunteer in the Food For Life program at Casuarina Baptist Church. The program provided support for people experiencing food insecurity in the Darwin community. They were able to attend the program and purchase food supplied by Foodbank NT or redeem vouchers provided by welfare agencies.
Dianne's strong administrative skills were invaluable to the program. Part of her role was managing the ordering of food and the shelving of food received prior to the program's weekly open day. This involved liaising with Foodbank NT and be part of the team stocking the shelves on the program day. She would welcome and check in the clients, explaining how to access the program and complete their shopping.
Dianne's volunteer service through Food for Life has been a wonderful help to many individuals and families facing tough times in the Darwin community. Dianne also organized the much-appreciated Christmas Hamper program each year - making Christmas brighter for many.
Blessings
