The following is by no means an exhaustive resume of Judy Boland's voluntary Community work.
Since 1986, Judy has been Chair of the Larrakeyah Branch of the National Trust and a Council Member of the NT Trust.
Since 1995 until the present, Judy has been an active member of the NT Historical Society.
Since 2000, Judy was a Founding Member of the History and Heritage Society and has also been President since that time. Judy is a Member of the Library and Archives Community Reference Group since 2014.
In 2014, Judy organised the 40th year Commemoration of Cyclone Tracy. Also in that year she organised Darwin High School students to talk to TV celebrity, Tony Robinson about the Aircraft Military Banner in regard to the Bombing Of Darwin in 1942.
Since 1986, she has been a Council Member of the Genealogical Society. and was also the Founder of student participation in the Bombing Of Darwin and ANZAC Day Commemorations in 1995.
Judy has been a member of the Government House Foundation since 2000. In 2000 and 2001, Judy organised the Re-union of former students at which 1500 people attended.
From 2015 to 2018, Judy was the Education Dept's representative on the NT History Forum and in 2019, she organised an annual Commemorative event celebrating The Great Air Race', on the anniversary of Ross and Keith Smiths' epic flight from the UK to Australia, followed by a book in 2000, celebrating the centenary of that same wonderful achievement.
