Ms Dotty Daby - Leanyer NT 

Dotty has been involved with, coordinates and trains the famous Seniors dance team, The Groovy Grans' in performing Line Dances at the many community functions around the NT.

These full of life, groovy grans are all over 60 years of age and Dotty takes great care to ensure their health and well-being is cared for. The interest and participation of these wonderful Senior ladies and men in part assures them of a good physical activity plus the value of sharing fun together with a common aim. Without this activity, some of these people would be sitting at home wondering what to do with themselves. So enter Dotty who as well as the dance training and performances, organises coffee and chat gatherings in order to maintain the group's dynamics and further encourage interaction in other activities such as seniors water aerobics and other seniors events that add to their well-being.

Dotty is highly regarded by all her friends and the Seniors community and worthy of a

Seniors Of Excellence Award for the contributions she makes in assisting and encouraging others to enjoy their senior lives to the fullest.
