Mrs Mary Meldrum - Alice Springs 

Mary is a well known and long standing community Fundraiser and Volunteer in the Alice Springs region. She is very actively involved in many organisations including:

1.       The Finke Desert Race. Mary's involvement in this internationally recognised event has been over many years. She has been an inspiration to all she has worked with over the years and her reputation as a hard working volunteer is what continues to keep the Finke Desert Race a highlight of endurance race for car drivers and motorbike riders alike.

2.       The Drovers Alice Springs Volunteer Service is another of Mary's passions. She has devoted much of her time over the years in delivering her volunteer services to this hospital. Mary inspires others to follow her example and support the many charities in and around Alice Springs.

3.       Mary works for other local Charities and fund raising events from time to time and is quick to answer the call.

Mary will be celebrating a very special milestone in her life on Saturday 5th of July, her 80th birthday and we the nominators of Mary to the Seniors of Excellence Awards think it would be a very fitting honor to a very special lady
